Therapeutic Massage. . . Individualized so you can feel better then ever!
My Therapeutic massage is an integration of a variety of techniques, entirely individualized to YOUR specific
needs which will leave you feeling amazing when we are done!
I start with a modified Swedish Massage technique, deeply relaxing to soothe and eliminate stress and tension, and energize your muscles by promoting circulation.
This technique loosens tight muscles and stretches and tones them to speed healing and reduce swelling from any injury.
As I find areas of tension, knots and/or discomfort, I will be integrating other techniques that
require more advanced training and a more thorough understanding of anatomy and physiology to bring
you the relief you have been seeking from your aches and pains.
Deep Tissue Massage, as the name suggests, is a more intense massage that uses
slow deep pressure to help release trigger points in affected areas and breakup adhesions.
This releases tension and brings more blood and oxygen to your muscles to begin the healing
process and return your muscles to their normal range of motion.
Deep tissue work can sometimes be uncomfortable, or even a little painful.
Breathing deeply helps and I will work with you to never go past your comfort level.
Cross-Fiber friction is a deep transverse friction along the grain of the muscle to release the fibers, restore
mobility, and remove toxins and deeply held patterns of tension.
Additional techniques: The Myoskeletal Release Method, Myofacial Release, and assisted stretching routines --
Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF) which are stretching exercises that involve a combination of
alternating contraction and relaxation to release and the lengthen the tight muscles.
